General
DevFest Yaoundé is our community's flagship yearly conference, organized by GDG Yaoundé — a full day of talks, workshops, and hallway conversations with developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts from Cameroon and beyond. Think less "conference," more "a really good day with your community."
GDG Yaoundé (Google Developer Group Yaoundé) — a volunteer-run community open to anyone curious about tech, from complete beginners to seasoned engineers. DevFest is our biggest event of the year, but we run meetups and workshops year-round too.
DevFest Yaoundé takes place on 21 November 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Full venue details and the day's schedule are on the Schedule page — check back as we get closer to the date.
Our Call for Speakers is open on Sessionize through October 31, 2026. Submit your session there — look for the link in the banner or on the Speakers page.

Tickets & Pricing
Five tiers, named after Claude model releases (yes, really): Haikyu (free), Sonnet, Opus, Fable, and Mythos — each higher tier unlocking more swag and perks. See the Tickets page for exactly what each includes.
The free pass (Haikyu) is handled through our GDG Bevy page rather than on this site — click through from the Tickets page and RSVP there. You can only claim one free RSVP per person.
We currently accept Mobile Money only — MTN MoMo and Orange Money. We don't support card payments yet.
Yes — buy any number of paid tickets and fill in each attendee's details separately, including marking one as your own if you're attending too. We just need a way to identify each attendee (phone and/or email).
If you have a code (from a sponsor or partner, say), add it in the order summary during checkout, before you pay.
No — tickets are non-refundable once purchased. We flag this clearly at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
You should get a confirmation with your ticket and QR code shortly after payment. If it hasn't arrived after a few minutes, check spam, then email gdgyaounde@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
Yes — if you bought a ticket on someone else's behalf, they can claim it into their own account to manage and check in with it themselves.
Venue & Logistics
Just yourself, a valid ID matching the name on your ticket, and maybe a jacket if you run cold in AC'd rooms. Laptops are welcome if you're following along with a workshop.

Shop & Swag
Yes — the shop is open to everyone, ticket or not, and stays open before, during, and after the event.
You choose pickup at the venue or shipping right in the order summary at checkout.
Change-of-mind purchases aren't refundable, but if something arrives damaged, defective, or wrong — or apparel just doesn't fit — reach out and we'll sort out an exchange, subject to stock.
Sold-out items are marked clearly on the shop page. Check back — we sometimes restock.
Participation Terms
Everyone. GDG Yaoundé is an inclusive community for anyone curious about tech — beginner or expert, student or professional. DevFest is for all of you.
We follow Google Developer Groups' participation terms — respectful, harassment-free, and welcoming to everyone. If anything ever feels off during the event, tell an organizer immediately or email gdgyaounde@gmail.com.
