What is DevFest Yaoundé?

DevFest is Google's global series of developer-led, community events — and DevFest Yaoundé is our local chapter's flagship gathering, run by GDG Yaoundé for the people building things in and around this city. Expect real talks from real practitioners, hallway conversations that turn into collaborations, and a room full of people who'd rather be here than anywhere else.

What is GDG Yaoundé up to?

GDG Yaoundé keeps the community going all year, not just on event day — meetups, study jams, and a place to ask the questions you're too embarrassed to ask on Stack Overflow.

Yes — even our free tier needs a ticket so we can plan the room properly. Head to the Tickets page to grab yours.
Very. DevFest Yaoundé is for anyone curious about building things, not just senior engineers — no prior conference experience required.
Both. Each speaker presents in whichever language they're most comfortable in, and the schedule will label the language per session.
Pricing isn't finalised yet. There'll be a free tier plus a few paid tiers with swag — full details will land on the Tickets page.
No. Tickets are non-refundable and non-cancellable once paid — not for a change of plans, and not after the event. You can pass yours on, though: tell us the new name before the day and we'll put the ticket in it.
In Yaoundé — exact venue details will be announced closer to the date.
Yes, lunch is covered. Tell us about dietary needs when you book and we'll sort it.
It's a factor in how we choose the venue. If you have a specific access need, tell us — earlier is easier.
Shipping logistics aren't settled yet. Pickup at the venue on the day will always be an option.
The shop stays open year-round, not just during the event.
No refunds if you change your mind. But if something arrives damaged, faulty or isn't what you ordered, we'll replace it. And apparel can be exchanged for another size while stock lasts. Exchanges are handled directly with us — write to us, or find us at the next event.
Yes, and it applies to everyone — attendees, speakers, organisers, sponsors. The link is in the footer.
Find any organiser (we're identifiable) or use the contact in the code of conduct. We take it seriously.
